The Garland Parks and Recreation Department oversees more than 2,800 acres of land containing 63 parks with numerous recreation and leisure facilities where a wide array of sports, recreation activities, classes, and special events are available of all ages.  Parks and open space with miles of trails provide opportunities to enjoy the natural beauty of Garland.
