The City of Garland needs your input about how to spend the federal housing and community development funds they will receive during the next five years (2010 - 2014).
During the past five years many residents have made recommendations on the use of these funds within the guidelines of the 2005-2010 Consolidated Plan. It is time to develop a new consolidated plan with new priorities to fit the changing economic and social reality of Garland. The City has contracted with BBC Research and Consulting to produce the 2010-2014 Consolidated Plan. Consultants have been hired to write the plan, but citizens will be asked to identify needs that should be addressed to improve their neighborhoods.
The City of Garland has scheduled three meetings to receive public input about the use of federal grant funds expected to total about 3 million dollars per year.
