United States Census 2010:  It's in our Hands!

The United States Constitution requires a census every 10 years to determine how many seats each state will have in the U.S. House of Representatives.  But community leaders use the census for everything from planning schools and building roads to providing recreational opportunities and managing health-care services.

Counts!

In March 2010, the U.S. Census Bureau will begin mailing out the 2010 Census questionnaire.  It contains only a few simple questions.  Your responses are confidential and will not be used for any other purpose. You can complete the questionnaire in a few minutes and return it by mail by April 1, 2010.

From May through July, census takers will visit households that did not return a questionnaire by mail.

Make sure your community is eligible for the representation, funding and other opportunities it deserves by promptly completing and returning your Census 2010 questionnaire.
